This shawl is a very simple, textural, triangle shaped shawl. Using eyelets and broken rib, there is lots of visual interest, but nothing complicated or difficult. I like the broken rib stitch for a wild, variegated yarn which I usually find difficult to knit with. The crazy bright green is the perfect contrast for this equally crazy multi yarn. This shawl is quite large, using almost all of both skeins. In this regard, gauge may be slightly more important than usual with a shawl, but it’s also easily adapted and can be bound off early should a yarn shortage occur.
Yarn
MC- 100 grams fingering weight
CC- 100 grams fingering weight
Needles and notions
US 4/ 3.5 mm needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)
Darning needle
Skill level
Beginner/intermediate. The stitches are all quite basic, however there is patterning on the WS and this requires some ability to read one’s knitting.
