Water for Evelyn Shawl

I love asymmetric, soft merino wool shawls, and Water for Evelyn is the perfect combination of the two. The first section starts with stripes and changes into a beautiful lace pattern and then moves onto stripes again etc.

Evelyn is my youngest daughters’ middle name and she is a ‘fluid’ character who navigates through life like floating on a wave of good spirits. Always happy, always cheerful and optimistic. This shawl is a tribute to her wonderful soul.

I have used 3 colourways for the shawl, I prefer to have a strong contrast color for the stripes - making the stripe pattern more visible. But you can of course use any 3 colourways you prefer.

Yarn used: Madelinetosh – Tosh Merino Light
A: 135 g El Greco
B: 35 g Nassau Blue
C: 80 g Chicory

Alternative colourways:
A: 135 g Firewood
B: 35 g Neon Peach
C: 80 g Rocky Mountain Highlands

Happy knitting!
