The Waterlily cardigan is worked top down. Begin with the neckband in seeded rib stitch, then work the yoke in the waterlily pattern. From here on, the rest of the cardigan is worked in reverse stockinette stitch. The Waterlily Lace Pattern as well as stockinette stitch is worked reversed in which purl stitches appear on the front side of work and knit stitches on the back side of work.
