While designing this cowl/shoulder cozy, I basically had the song “Watermelon Sugar” by Harry Styles playing on repeat. At the time, I had just discovered that song, and I fell in love with it! For me, it was the perfect summer song, and so is this versatile, cotton blend, one skein cowl! Throw it around your neck for light coverage, and even pull it down over your shoulders if the evening has a chill to it.

A series of gentle increases gives this cowl an “A” line shape that allows you to wear it as a cowl or a shoulder cozy! A note about yardage - this cowl requires every last inch of the recommended yarn, so check gauge carefully! If you would like to make it larger, simply continue increasing in the manner indicated in Section 1. You will need more yarn to make it larger, and be sure and save approximately 25% of your yarn for the applied border!
