I am always drawn to the wonderful ways water flows—in this case with force, straight up. The lace stitch on the foot and back of hand for these pieces has plenty of movement and style, but is remarkably simple to work.

The mitts have the lace on the back of the hand only, with a thumb gusset accented by yarnovers for an extra touch of femininity.
