This simple but effective syncopated brioche pattern works up quickly in two colours of bulky weight yarn.

Materials:
• Bulky weight yarn in two colours, approx 160-180m (175-195yds) of each
• 22cm/9” 5mm/US8 circular needles
• Needle to weave in ends
• Crochet hook to attach fringing

Size of finished scarf:
Length 260cm/102” (not including fringe), width 18cm/7”, after blocking.

Gauge:
Obtaining gauge is not essential, as long as you are happy with the fabric you are getting. Different gauge will affect the size of the finished object and the amount of yarn used, so pay attention to yarn weight.

Sample gauge is 10 stitches and 10 rows of plain brioche per 10cm x 10cm (4” x 4”) square.

Instructions are both written and charted, and a photo tutorial for the edge stitches is included.
