This modular scarf is knit with stripes using the join-as-you-go method, so no sewing pieces in the end. This joining method allows you to knit stripes that run parallel together and join them as you go. The stripes (waves) are made one at a time and connected to each other as they are knit. The double edges create a smooth and neat selvedge.

This design is great for variegated/gradient yarn.

The pattern includes both written instructions and knitting charts. A step-by-step photo-tutorial is also available.
