The “Wavy Blouse” is worked top-down in the round. It features a 1x1 ribbed neckband with short rows incorporated at the back of the ribbing. After the neck ribbing – and again before the ribbing at the end of the body and sleeves – a whimsical wave detail is added. The wave pattern is created within the ribbing section and later accentuated by crocheting over the top.
The yoke is shaped using circular increases. Since the sweater is knitted top-down, you can easily customize the length of both the body and the sleeves to suit your preferences.
The flowy fabric and larger needle size make this sweater a perfect choice for summer and the best companion for your favorite dresses and skirts!

Sizing XS, (S, M, L,) XL, XXL, (3X, 4X, 5X)
This garment is meant to be worn with anywhere from 10 cm/ 4″ of negative ease to 10 cm/ 4″ of positive ease. I’m pictured wearing a size L (in my lighter colored blouse) with 2″ of negative ease. Pick a size with more positive ease for a relaxed fit, or negative ease for more of a tailored look.

Suggested Yarn
Version A: cropped fit with ¾ sleeves:
300, (350, 400, 450,) 500, 500, (550, 600, 650) meters/ 328, (383, 437, 492,) 547, 547, (602, 656, 711) yards of Lace weight yarn. If you want to hold the yarn double you need to double the amount of yarn that you need.

Version B: full length with full sleeves
350, (400, 450, 500,) 550, 600, (650, 700, 750) meters/ 383, (437, 492, 547,) 601, 656, (711, 765, 820) yards of Lace weight yarn. If you want to hold the yarn double you need to double the amount of yarn that you need.

For my first lighter colored sample I used Alpaca Blaze by Hobbii (25 g/ 225 m) held double, but any lace weight mohair will work great. I’m knitted my second red sample in Gazzal super kid mohair (25g/237 m) with only one strand of yarn for a more see-through fabric. You may need to adjust your needle size, if you knit with one strand of yarn.
