Pattern calls for 100 gm of fingering yarn on 6 needles. Pattern does not recommend any particular brand. I used 150 Gm of worsted weight on 9 needles. My scarf was wider, but still 64” in length. Very easy and attractive!

This is a pattern I made to teach my advance knitting students how to knit lace using stripey sock yarn in their favorite colors. 100 gr. of sock yarn is enough to make this long, thin shawl.

Learn: 2 ways to increase; knitting in the front and back of a stitch and yarn over, decreasing (knit 2 together, slip, slip, knit and slip 2 together, knit 1, Passover) and how to block. The first 2 pages are instructions for the scarf only and on the next 5 pages I’ve included pictures and directions for all the techniques mentioned above.
