WELCOME TO 2026 SHAWL MYSTERY KNIT
Join us for another yearly shawl MKAL - a bit late this year because well…this year started sideways for me but here we are just a bit later!

This year’s mystery-knit-along is a fun shawl that combines unique shape, some fun stitches and some easy TV knitting. I won’t bore you with long descriptions, it’s a mystery so we will leave it as such, but as always, I will tell you what it is not:

• no short rows
• no brioche
• no lace
• no long cast on
• no charts
• it is not a stitch sampler type of shawl!

YARN USAGE AND COLORS
Miss Babs Yummy 2-ply – 100% merino; 400 yards (366 m) per 113 g (3.99 oz)

Color A: 400 yards
Color B: 400 yards
My sample was worked with Yummy 2-ply in Pitch(Color A, darker) and Lace Murex(Color B, lighter)

I used Miss Babs Yummy 2 ply for my sample – it’s a standard fingering weight yarn at 400m per 100g!

YARN KITS Miss Babs put a bunch of gorgeous options for yummy 2-ply here and Avon here- there are too many for me to attach to this page!

You will need two skeins total – one skein of each color. I would suggest high contrast combos, tonals or speckled yarn could work well too if there is high contrast.
