This is a quick and easy-to-work up spiderweb poncho to wear with your favourite spider costume!

The pattern is written in US crochet terms, although I have listed the equivalent UK terms. Gauge is not important for this pattern.

This is simple enough for a beginner to make; it just needs a lot of counting! :-)

This is sized for an adult, but using a smaller hook and yarn would yield a child-sized poncho.

In order for this to sit properly when wearing it, it needs to be heavily blocked, especially on the vertical bars. I used a steam iron on acrylic yarn, which should ‘kill’ the yarn and help it keep its shape through washing, but a natural fibre may block better although it will need blocking after each wash.

This pattern has not been tested - please let me know if you find any errors!
