Do you love knits with minimal seaming? You don’t like scary shaping, do you? The Weave Tunic is exactly what you need. This knitting pattern is almost seamless. Just shoulders are joined together. If you know how to purl and knit, you will love making this soft, chunky Weave Tunic.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate. MATERIALS REQUIRED:
• 17 x 50g balls (1275m or 1394.4yds) using Drops Nepal Colour: 0206. NB If you substitute another yarn, please check tension and yardage.
• 1 Circular needle 4.5mm x 80cm (US 7).
• 1 circular needle 4.5mm x 50cm (US 7).
• 1 Stitch marker.
• 1 Tapestry needle.
NB Needle size is only a guide- if you get too many stitches on 10cm, take a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10cm, take a smaller needle size.
Actual measurements:
One size: S(oversized) M.
Length (from top of the shoulders) - 73cm (28.7ins).
Flat width (just below armhole) - 52cm (20.5ins).
Sleeve length (from top of the shoulders) - 59cm (23.2ins). Sleeves flat width - 19cm (7.5ins).
Cuff flat width – 28cm (11ins).
GAUGE (Tension): 16sts and 26rows = 10 cm (4ins), measured over Weave pattern, (garment being blocked), using 4.50mm (US 7) needle or size required to give correct tension. It’s very important to check your gauge (tension) before starting as working to the wrong tension will mean your garment won’t be size shown.
