this is a relatively simple knit (the body of the shawl is simple and quite easy to memorize) made interesting by the Orenburg flavor.

a short strip of edging is knit, and then stitches are picked up along the long end, the corners turned then the shawl and edging are knit as one until the proper length is reached, corners are turned again, and the final edging knit sideways over the live stitches, and the leftovers grafted together.

a row of hearts flow up one side and down the other while the middle of the shawl is occupied by a field of flowers.
