This pattern was designed for Scary Sock KAL 2025. It was inspired by Wednesday Addams in the Netflix series called Wednesday and her black and white clothes. The whole pattern revolves around the heel, which does not break the stripes and is simple to knit. The idea for this heel originates in Asia Brill’s pattern with similar features.

Socks can be worked as shorties or they can be worked as usuall mid-calf socks. The cuff is designed to be folded making the socks flexible in length.

The heel is rather roomy. If you have delicate ankles, choose one size smaller than usually, or add a few more shaping rounds to stripes with increases and decreases, shortening the instep part even more.

The L and XL are very comfortable for people who need wider socks accross ankles.
