This is an absolutely adorable, cabled baby bonnet. This project is knit flat, then joined at the top with a Kitchener Stitch, and if you’ve been wanting to try a new cable pattern out, this one is perfect for you! It’s a lovely piece that will surely turn into an heirloom for whichever little babe this is given to.

Yarn:

50g/95yds worsted weight yarn. Pictured here in Weepaca by Big Bad Wool. This is a super soft and lovely fiber, perfect for sitting against the Wee Bairn’s head. I think solids really showcase the bobble and cable pattern, but feel free to choose whatever color you like! Our own Hearth weight yarn would work perfectly with this pattern.

Gauge:

4.5 stitches and 5 = 1” stockinette with US 7 (4.5 mm) needles

Tools Needed:

US 7, 24” circular needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)

Cable Needle or DPN

Craft Needle (for weaving in ends)
