The Weighted Crochet Snuggle Bunny is perfect for Easter and spring decor, for play, for nursery and bedroom decor, and so much more!

The pattern is primarily beginner-friendly with a few pieces that may stretch your skills a bit, and although furry yarn is typically more difficult to work with, the technique used in the pattern makes it approachable for even the advanced beginner!

Instructions for adding a weighted piece (either machine or hand sewn) inside the Bunny allows for a proprioceptive component if used for play, and also makes it a fun option to use functionally as a doorstop.

SKILLS NEEDED

• The skill level needed is advanced beginner. The furry yarn, while typically more difficult to work with, is worked using a technique that is very approachable for an advanced beginner.
• The techniques you will need to know include: chain, single crochet, standing single crochet, slip stitch, increase, invisible and regular decrease, working in the front loops and back loops only, working in the back bar of the chain, and the adjustable (magic) ring.

MATERIALS NEEDED

• To complete the Weighted Crochet Snuggle Bunny you will need: yarn in your choice of colors (about 790 yds/ 722 m of worsted/aran and about 95 yds/ 87 m of furry yarn) a size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook, stitch markers, tapestry needle, Poly-fil, pins, scissors, and a chopstick to help stuff.
• Optionally, if making the weighted insert: 2 - 8.5 inch (21.6 cm) diameter circles cut from fleece fabric in a color coordinating with the project, a pen or fabric marker, sewing machine, thread, and supplies (optionally sew by hand), funnel, and Poly-Pellets Weighted Stuffing Beads.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
+ The finished Weighted Snuggle Bunny measures approximately 14 inches (35.6 cm) tall and 31 inches (79 cm) around at the widest point of the body.
