Weldy Shawl is a beautiful, simple, elegant and easy to make.

Although I classified it as an Intermediate crochet project, I think that it can be easily accomplished by any ambitious beginner who wants to improve their crochet skills and learn new stitches.

The pattern is written using US crochet terms.

Skill level: Intermediate

The size: It’s 170 cm (67”) wide and 80 cm (31.5”) long, after blocking. It’s quite big, but you can easily make it smaller if you make fewer repeats.

Crochet hook: 2.5 mm

Stitches: magic ring, chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, bobble stitch, front post treble crochet

Yarn:

Alize Angora Gold - color 599 - 100 g/550 m (3.58 Oz/601 yds)
80% Acrylic, 20% Wool

You’ll need 3 skeins of 100g – approximately 280 g or 1540m

Gauge isn’t crucial for this project: 22 sts and 12 rows in dc to measure 10 x 10 cm (4” x 4”) before blocking, with 2.5 mm crochet hook and recommended yarn.

The pattern is very detailed. It includes: row-by-row written pattern, photo tutorial, stitch counts and several crochet charts. All that packed in 14 pages.
