The Wellsbury Sweater is all about playing with yarn combinations and having fun with colour!!
My goal with this sweater was to create a design with an interesting construction that looked as if it was knit with a long colour change gradient yarn whilst actually utilising individual skeins of sock yarn or mini skeins or scraps.

The sweater is knit top-down in sections and grafted as you go with lovely central seam down the front and back. A video is provided for the central join.

The way this sweater is constructed allows for amazing opportunities with colour play; and should you wish to knit your sweater in only one colour you do not need to alternate hand-dyed skeins as you would with a sweater knit in the round.

It is designed to be worn with 6-10 inches / 15-25 cm of positive ease at the bust. The pattern is size inclusive with finished sweater bust sizes of 36- 72”/ 90-180cm. The sweater can be knit to your length of choice.

Full instructions are included to help you design you plan your own colour changes.

Wellsbury can be knit using any DK weight yarn or in a combination of yarns that achieve gauge, such as fingering weight merino held with lace-weight suri alpaca or mohair.

This pattern has been tech edited and tested by my amazing test knitters!
