Wesley’s Socks are cozy, textured socks that combine two of my favorite stitches: a gentle cable on one side and a soft, grainy double moss stitch on the other. Together they create a warm, comforting fabric, the kind that instantly brings to mind handmade knits, quiet evenings, and the feeling of being wrapped in something familiar.
The design immediately reminded me of the Weasley home „the Burrow” full of woolly socks, worn-in sweaters, family warmth, and a touch of charming magic. These are socks meant for relaxing at home (and not only), sipping tea, and feeling grounded and safe.
They’re soft, snug, and wonderfully homey — a blend of structure and simplicity that feels like comfort in knitted form.

ABOUT THE PATTERN:
These socks are knitted top down using the magic loop method. You start with a half twisted rib cuff and then move on to working from the chart. The sock features a structural design—half cable, half double seed stitch—which makes it enjoyable to knit without any boredom! After completing the leg, you begin working the heel flap. Then you continue knitting the foot until the toe decreases and finish by closing the stitches with the Kitchener stitch, which provides a smooth and elegant finish.

SIZES: S, (M), L
To achieve the perfect fit, measure your foot at its widest point.
size S: foot circumference: 18–19.5 cm
size M: foot circumference: 20.5–21.5 cm
size L: foot circumference: 23.5–24.5 cm
Choose the size that most closely matches your foot circumference. If you fall between two sizes, choose the smaller one—the sock should have approximately 5% negative ease.

YARN: Fingering-weight sock yarn, 100 g (400 m)

GAUGE: 16 stitches x 38 rows in 5cm, in stockinette stitch
NEEDLES: 2.25 mm circular needle (80 cm cable)

Wesley’s Socks to przytulne, strukturalne skarpetki, w których przeplatają się moje dwa ulubione ściegi: delikatny warkocz po jednej stronie i miękki, ziarnisty ścieg ryżowy po drugiej. Ten kontrast tworzy wyjątkową, ciepłą fakturę, dokładnie taką, jaka kojarzy się z domowym ciepłem, ręczną robótką i spokojem zimowego wieczoru.
Projekt od razu przywiódł mi na myśl dom Weasleyów “Norę“ pełen miękkich skarpet, wełnianych swetrów, rodzinnego ciepła i trochę magicznego chaosu. To skarpetki stworzone do noszenia w domu (i nie tylko), do otulenia stóp, do kubka herbaty i do poczucia, że jest się we właściwym miejscu.
To miękkie, przytulne skarpetki, które łączą prostotę i strukturę, a jednocześnie mają w sobie coś bardzo “domowego”.

O WZORZE: Skarpetki są przerabiane od góry do dołu metodą magic loop. Zaczynamy od ściągacza z oczek przekręconych, a następnie zaczynamy pracę ze schematem. Skarpetka jest strukturalna, w połowie warkocz w połowie podwójny ścieg ryżowy, co sprawia, że dzierga się ją przyjemnie i bez nudy! Po zakończeniu cholewki rozpoczynamy pracę nad piętą z klapką. Następnie kontynuujemy dzierganie stopy aż do zwężeń palców i zamknięcia oczek metodą Kitchener stitch , która zapewnia gładkie i eleganckie wykończenie.

Aby idealnie dopasować rozmiar zmierz stopę w jej najszerszym miejscu.

S: obwód stopy: 18-19.5 cm
M: obwód stopy: 21-22 cm
L: obwód stopy: 23.5-24.5 cm

Wybierz najbliższy rozmiar który odpowiada Twojemu obwodowi stopy, jeśli jesteś pomiędzy dwoma rozmiarami wybierz mniejszy, skarpetka powinna posiadać ok. 5% ujemnego luzu.
