Based on an old pattern for our boys overseas, these were intended as a glove suitable for shooting, keeping the hands warm and leaving the fingers free. I made these for my brother a WWII buff and hunter, but added a different rib and a thumb. The original was down back and forth with no thumb. These have a gusseted thumb and are done in the round to be seamless. Made in worsted yarn, they work up quickly.
