One of the most peaceful times of the week for me is the late afternoon, when my kids are about to wake up from their nap and the sun comes through the west facing windows in my home. It makes all my plants glowy and happy and the old wood frame windows paint lines on the walls. Everything (even when there are toys everywhere and unwashed dishes) seems to slow down for an hour and the air feels lighter. This shawl is my ode to that moment in time.

A classic triangular shawl, it incorporates my favorite construction flow working from end to end keeping the rows short and the downhill slope to the finish line. The corners and edges curve gently to hug your shoulders. For some added personality, emphasize the asymmetry with tassels placed at the end of your garland (or leave simple if you prefer!).

Thank you so much for your support of this pattern. I cant wait to see your shawl! Please use the tag #westfacingwrap to share with me on instagram! Seeing your yarn choices and watching your progress is the greatest joy. Happy knitting!
