The Dera-Dog family are growing with this super cute West Highland Terrier designed by Amanda Berry. This pattern has been designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz using acrylic DK yarns, and is knitted flat on single pointed needles. The dog combines stockinette and reverse stockinette stitch for a textured finish.

RECOMMENDED YARN
Deramores Studio Anti-Pilling DK in Frost; one 100g skein
Double knitting/light worsted weight
100% acrylic

NEEDLES
A pair of 3mm straight single pointed knitting needles

NOTIONS
Toy filling
A darning or tapestry needle for seaming
Two 10mm toy safety eyes
One 18mm toy safety nose
Approximately 45cm of tartan ribbon for the collar

TECHNIQUES
Work flat on single pointed needles (not in the round).
The whiskers are attached after knitting by knotting strands of yarn onto the snout (as you would to attach a doll’s hair).
