Welcome to West Seattle! West Seattle is the next neighborhood we’ll visit for the Seattle Sock Series. This pattern is full of windy cables and the sweetest hearts to keep your toes toasty warm! West Seattle is home to several notable points in Seattle history, namely Alki Point, where the city of Seattle was founded. Today it’s largely residential with some of the best views of Puget Sound, Elliott Bay, and downtown Seattle.

Supplies:
250-400 yards/228-365 meters of fingering weight yarn depending on the size of your foot.
Recommended: Scientific Sock from Nanostitch Labs or Knit Pick Stroll
US 1 (2.25mm) knitting needles for knitting in small circumferences. Either 9 inch circulars, 24 inch for magic loop, or DPNs

Gauge: 9 stitches x 11 rows in one inch on a US 1 needle in stockinette in the round
There are three sizes of sock for different foot circumference 7” (8”, 9”). Measure around the ball of your foot to determine which size will be best for you.
