A simple market bag using a worsted weight cotton yarn.

A note on the multiple needle sizes: I wanted the bottom of the bag in a tighter knit so it would hold up to heavy market items. The body is on size 9 needles, allowing for some stretch. The linen stitch at the top of the bag creates a tight woven “fabric.” It’s possible to to do the top of the bag in size 9. It will not have as large an opening.
