Choose needles for your preferred methods of flat knitting (the cuff) and small diameter circular knitting (the inner leg - not visible in the photos).

The pattern is available in both A4 and Letter size formats, and all instructions include both US and UK knitting terminology.

History

The braid on which the cable pattern is based was a common decoration in ancient mosaic pavements, including the beautiful floors in the Roman villa at Boroughbridge in North Yorkshire.
