If someone asked me to describe Manitoba, I would tell them about long, flat highways flanked by seemingly endless fields of golden wheat, and the aged grain elevators that stand sentry over them. This pattern is an ode to the symbol of the prairies that I’ve called home for my entire life, and especially the city in which I was born and raised. So here’s to stacked hay bales, the gold of summer, and the biggest sky you’ve ever seen. Here’s to the Wheat City.
