This is a light weight sweater for these early spring days. Knit in the delightful Summerlite DK, 100% cotton. Remember: cotton gets wider and shorter when blocked. Please test your gauge after blocking. Slightly oversized for a neat fit.

For a more stable yarn with more swish, may I suggest mYak Tibetan Cloud. A lovely DK weight yarn I have recently fallen in love with. I would be really interested in seeing a sample knit in this.

Knit from the bottom up, the lace gets you engaged immediately. A large field of stocking stitch with slight A-line shaping finishes the body. Work the sleeves next, then add the sleeves to the body with a 3 needle bind off at the underarm. Smooth sailing from here with yoke shaping. For the 3 smaller sizes the sleeves are shaped more frequently than the body. The larger 4 sizes shape the body more frequently than the sleeves. This is outlined in details in the pattern. Finishing at the neck with a few short rows and a light rib and you are ready to wear your sweater for a walk around the block. Enjoy.
