Wheat Stitch™ Mushrooms
A free version is also available.
✿ Cottagecore mushrooms with zero sewing. You’re welcome.
These little woodland mushrooms get their braided, textured caps from the Wheat Stitch™. Add the crocheted fern accent and you’ve got the cutest cottagecore display on your shelf.
Two sizes are included, and swapping your yarn weight changes the size even more, so you can make a whole little forest.
▶️ Watch them come together on YouTube
✨ What makes it work
- No sewing. The cap and base join with a single slip stitch seam for a clean, continuous finish.
- Scalloped base. Worked bottom up with a ruffle edge.
- Domed cap. Worked top down until it matches the base exactly.
- Optional weight. Stuffing beads give them a satisfying heft.
- You’re not on your own. Video tutorial and written pattern included.
