Wheat Stitch™ Turtle
A free version is also available.
☀️ Slow and steady wins the cuteness race
Meet the Wheat Stitch™ Turtle, a sweet and snuggly amigurumi brimming with personality. It’s worked in the round in Wheat Stitch™, which gives the shell that extra bit of texture and style.
It’s part of the Hooked on the Sea collection of six ocean animal amigurumi, all made with Wheat Stitch. Stuff it, fluff it and say hello to your new shelled friend.
▶️ Watch it come together on YouTube
✨ What makes it work
- Head and fins first. Crochet the head and four flappy little fins, then set them aside.
- No sewing to join. Everything comes together with a bit of clever crochet.
- Textured shell. The Wheat Stitch shell is the standout.
- Finish the underside. Add a little stuffing and close it up.
- You’re not on your own. Video tutorial and written pattern included.
