Chickens and eggs abound in the backyards of Portland, in an assortment of sizes and colors. For this pattern, the answer to an age-old riddle is clear: first comes the egg, followed by a pitterpat of chicken feet, and finally wire for the coop… with a feathering of colors in between.

Supplies
3 skeins Hazel Knits Entice (70% Superwash Merino/20% Cashmere/10% Nylon; 113 grams/400 yards); 3 different colors, 1 skein each.
I used the following colors and amounts for the sample:
A - Sedge, 117 yards
B - Ticklish, 129 yards
C - Land of Sweets, 132 yards
Size 4 (3.5mm) - 24” (80cm) circular needle, or size necessary to achieve gauge
