Yarn: Any type of yarn at any price point can be used, provided that you have a gauge that you like and are happy with the fabric created. I knit my samples with a light DK weight yarn.

Yarn used:
Berry Home DK: Woolberry Fiber Co, 265 yards/100 grams, 100% NSW Merino
Color A: Herb Garden
Color B: Olive Branch

Rockies DK: Explorer Knits and Fibers, 274 yards/100 grams, 100% SW Merino
Color A: Turning Leaves
Color B: Natural

Suggested Needles: Needle sizes are suggestions, you should swatch to determine the needle size you need to meet gauge. A second set of needles (either the same size or smaller) will be needed to finish the cowl.

Recommended needle size:
US 6/4mm, 16”/40cm Circular needles recommended

Gauge: You should always knit and block your swatch in the same way that you will knit or block your project. Allow the swatch to fully dry before measuring.
Meeting the specified gauge is not mandatory for this project, but any changes will affect the final dimensions of the cowl and the yardage needed. It is more important that you are happy with the finished fabric, than meeting the specified gauge.

25 sts x 26 rows over 4” (10.16cm) in colorwork in the round after blocking

Yardage: Yardage is estimated and may vary depending on materials used, gauge, or any pattern modifications.

Color B: 260 yards (237 m)
