The Whirl Me Away Cowl is designed to make the most of that 100g skein of aran or chunky weight yarn hiding in your stash that you don’t know what to do with, in less than one day!

The Whirl Me Away Cowl is knit in the round. Round and round and round. The unique stitch pattern means there isn’t a start and end to each round. It builds upon itself in a spiral.

The size is completed adjustable too. So whether you prefer a tight and snug fit, or loose and wrappable, you can make it suit you. You can even use a different yarn weight as I’m sure I’m not the only one who has some odd skeins lurking around

Then when you’re nearing the end of your yarn you can start casting off, allowing you to make the most of the whole skein.

As a bonus, the cast on and cast off edges are nearly identical. See if you can spot the difference in photos 4 and 5!

Using the materials suggested the pattern creates a wonderfully thick and woven fabric, perfect for keeping the chilly wind out.
