Sizes given are finished bust circumferences. You’ll need 3 (4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 6, 7) hanks of the recommended yarn for the different sizes. Sample shown in color “Hare”.

Although this sweater is knit in two pieces rather than one, the cute cap sleeves are part of the front and back, with only shoulder and side seams holding the piece together. It’s worked in a lightweight, alpaca-cotton blend that drapes beautifully and is exceptionally soft.

The gathers at the neckline are formed with triple-decreases at the neck edge, combined with a firm hand when picking up the stitches for the neckline. You want the sweater to pucker here, so note the look as you’re working the neckline stitches and adjust if necessary.

Waist shaping on the back of the sweater creates a nice silhouette and applied I-cord trim on the armholes keeps the focus on the neckline.
