Has the thought of failure and change overwhelmed you? So much so that you are unable to complete an action? The fear that holds you paralyzed, standing still, not taking action because of all of your reasoned excuses. But what if you just took one step in the right direction? What if you closed your eyes and listened to the wind whisper— “Give it a try!”
This shawl was first released in a sport weight version in June of 2017. It was my very first design but I let fear overtake me as I struggled with the publication process. A year later I finally published it as a celebration of overcoming my fear of failure! It has since then taken on a life of it’s own and become a symbol to many knitters of overcoming fears and giving your dreams a try.

As you knit this large crescent shaped shawl. Let the stitches flow from your needles and begin to take steps to over come your fear of failures. Take a step towards your dreams! In fact, before you knit I want you to grab a sheet of paper and write down your dream! Hang it in a place where you’ll see it everyday. Then as you knit your yarn into fabric imagine all the tiny steps that you make today will one day become the fabric of your dreams.
I’d love to know your dreams and goals are! Tag me in your progress pics on Instagram I’m @naomigraceknits or use hashtag #naomigraceknits
