Wrap yourself in the gentle embrace of cherished memories with the Whispers of Alice shawl, a heartfelt tribute to my beloved grandmother whose love was as boundless as her garden. Inspired by Alice’s passion for nurturing both her garden, this shawl captures the essence of her care and devotion in every stitch.

The Whispers of Alice is a crescent-shaped shawl worked from the top down, featuring a harmonious blend of intricate techniques like brioche, delicate lacework, and sparkling beads that glimmer like morning dew on petals. Each element in this pattern mirrors the beauty of my grandmother’s garden—a place where every flower was planted with love, every path was crafted with purpose, and every breeze whispered her nurturing spirit.

The soft flow of brioche stitches symbolises the lush greenery she tended with pride, while the lacework echoes the delicate blossoms she so lovingly cultivated. The beads, like the radiant blooms in her garden, add a touch of sparkle, reflecting the light of her enduring presence.

Wrap yourself in Whispers of Alice —a piece of her garden to carry with you always.

This project is worked flat, and it includes written directions throughout, accompanied by charts for pattern motifs, and a shaping schematic to guide you through each step. The instructions are broken down into clear, easy-to-digest sections to prevent overwhelm, ensuring a smooth knitting experience.
