The Whitehead Socks, inspired by a row of houses in the coastal village of Whitehead in N. Ireland, are knit cuff down with rows of little houses. The lace panels can be knit using minis or one skein, and the lace pattern is easy to remember.

The pattern is written for ladies medium (64 sts) and large (72 sts). The socks have a wedge toe and a Wrap and Turn short row heel, with the choice of a regular heel or a deeper heel worked over 60% of the stitches, however, the heel and toe can be changed to your own choice. They are knit using the magic loop method but can be adapted to suit dpns.

Find your favourite row of painted houses, dive into your minis and leftovers and knit a pair of socks as a reminder.
