Wicker Socks are a cozy nod to the quiet strength and beauty of traditional basketry. Designed with texture in mind, these socks feature a simple knit-and-purl pattern that echoes the intricate structure of a woven wicker basket—subtle and endlessly wearable. Worked from the top down and almost entirely in the round, they offer a fun knit with minimal interruption. The heel is shaped without the need to pick up stitches, preserving the flow of the pattern down the back of the heel and maintaining a crisp, tidy silhouette. With a comfortable fit and an understated texture, Wicker Socks bring rustic charm to a modern staple.

These are one-size-fits-all. The ribbing and pattern are very stretchy and can accommodate the circumference of both large and small calves. The length of the foot is customizable to you! I have also included a chart denoting standard foot sizes if you prefer a numerical guide

Any fingering-weight sock yarn works for this pattern. You need 70-100g based on how long you are making your sock (I am size 6.5W and used a total of 70g for one pair of socks). The yarns pictured are Ritual Dyes Maiden in Forage (brown) and Mominoki sock fine 4ply in crocus (pink)
