Wicket Gate was designed for those days when you don’t want to pull a cowl over your head (and mess your hair up!). Easy stitches make this stylish accessory quick to whip up, so that you can have one to match every fall outfit. Make it wider or taller, depending on how warm you want to be when you wear it! It can be made in any medium-weight yarn (sport, DK, or worsted weight) and customized with your favorite buttons, while the softness and drape of 100% alpaca will protect your neck in style.

Size: 22” circumference (buttoned); 6.75” height

Yarn: Cascade Pure Alpaca (100% alpaca, 100 g/220 yards) 3006 Brown, 1 skein

Needles: US G-6 (4mm) hook

Notions: Yarn needle; blocking mats and pins; 5/8” buttons (3)

Notes: Cowl can be made in any medium-weight yarn if gauge is achieved. Yarn used in the sample (Cascade Pure Alpaca) is labeled worsted but works up at closer to DK-weight gauge. Cowl can also be customized easily and be made wider/taller.
