Wiese, the German word for meadow, felt like the natural name for this design. The colorwork motif reminded me of grasses, leaves and tiny flowers growing close together, creating movement and texture without becoming overwhelming.

Combined with a simple silhouette, Wiese is a sweater that lets the yoke do the talking.

The ease across sizes is 5-15 cm/2-6”. The picture shows size 3 with 6 cm/2.5” of positive ease.

PATTERN NOTES:
• The sweater is worked in one piece top down.
• You start with the neckband in St st on smaller needles, then switch to larger needles and work increases and short rows for neck shaping, and then the circular yoke according to the chart.
• After the circular yoke, you separate the sleeves and the body, and work the body and the sleeves separately.
