Wiggly crochet is a fun technique that is easy to learn. Perfect for decorating, these coasters and centerpiece will add a little “pizzazz” to your next Pinochle, Bridge or other card playing get together! The centerpiece is perfect for a hot dish, snack or appetizer, while the coasters keep surfaces unharmed from water rings. And they make great gifts, too!

The centerpiece measures 7 3/4” wide x 8 3/4” high. The coasters measure 3 3/4” wide x 4 1/4” high. The thread requirements for the full set (centerpiece and 4 coasters) are 460 yds of white, 220 yds of red and 220 yds of black.

These patterns are an intermediate skill level and are made in the wiggly crochet technique. In this crochet technique, you make a foundation mesh first, then crochet the wiggly stitches on top of the foundation mesh.

Give this technique a try. It’s a lot of fun!
