Wilbur is a small, sleeveless vest knitted entirely in garter stitch and 1/1 rib stitch. It’s knit from the top down in a single, incredibly soft mohair and silk blend yarn, making it lightweight and perfectly warm. A must-have that you’ll want in every color imaginable!

Sizes: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 7 – 8 – 9 – 10.

Approximately (or any DK yarn): 530 – 570 – 640 – 682 – 724 – 800 – 888 – 985 – 1084 – 1184 meters / 580 – 623 – 700 – 746 – 792 – 875 – 971 – 1077 – 1186 – 1295 yards.
• Needles: 3,5, 4 and 4,5 mm / US 4, 6 and 7 circular needles, 80 cm length, or size to meet gauge.

Gauge: 18 sts and 34 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in garter stitch worked flat on 4,5 mm / US 7 with one strand of yarn.

Chest circumference (fullest point): 90 – 95 – 105 – 110 – 115 – 125 – 135 – 145 – 155 – 165 cm / 35 ½ - 37 ½ - 41 ¼ - 43 ¼ - 45 ¼ - 49 ¼ - 53 ¼ - 57 – 61 – 65 inches.

To be worn with 5 – 15 cm / 2 – 6 inches of positive ease. To choose which size to fit, measure your chest circumference, add recommended or desired ease and knit the corresponding size in chest circumference (fullest point). (I wear size 3 with 17 cm / 6 ¾ inches positive ease).

Wilbur est un petit gilet sans manche tricoté entièrement au point mousse et finitions en côtes 1/1. Il est tricoté de haut en bas dans un seul fil mohair et soie tout doux, léger et chaud juste ce qu’il faut. Un indispensable qu’on voudra avoir dans toutes les couleurs possibles et imaginables !

Échantillon : réalisé au point mousse à plat, avec les aiguilles n°4,5 et le fil choisi : 18 mailles x 34 rangs pour un carré de 10 x 10 cm.

Tour de poitrine gilet : 90 – 95 – 105 – 110 – 115 – 125 – 135 – 145 – 155 – 165 cm.

Aisance positive recommandée 5 – 15 cm. Pour choisir quelle taille faire, mesurer son tour de poitrine, y ajouter l’aisance recommandée ou souhaitée, et tricoter la taille correspondante en tour de poitrine gilet. (Je porte la taille 3 avec 17 cm d’aisance positive).
