This design was inspired by Flying Geese quilts, but named in reference to my favorite poem, “Wild Geese,” by Mary Oliver, which always helps me find perspective. The hat requires approximately 125 yards of worsted weight yarn and is quite quick to work up.

My project was knit in Fiber for The People’s Organic Merino Worsted in the Laurel colorway. A super, super soft yarn.

I hope you enjoy. Stay safe. Stay warm.
