This beaded lace fingerless gloves and matching cowl can be knit from a single skein of Crocosmia. (400 to 500m of fingering weight yarn)

The pattern is inspired by the wild iris that grow beside our dock at the cottage. Every year they are a welcome surprise as they bloom in the cool quiet waters.

The gloves are worked omnt he round from the cuff upwards. Instructions are given for 2 circular needles, but dpn’s or magic loop may be substituted. The cuff and top of the glove have a picot edge. Beads are optional.

The cowl is knit in the round from the bottom up with the larger needles. Instructions are given for working the cowl on a 24” circular needles, but long dpn’s, 2 circular needles, or magic loop may be substituted. Again, beads are optional.

The lace is patterned on every row. The instructions for both the cowl and the gloves are included.
