Poinsettias are one of the most popular flowers during the Christmas season. In fact, the Poinsettia is December’s birth flower! The story behind it is even more interesting and goes like this: a child, with no means for a gift, gathered humble weeds from the side of the road to place at the church alter on Christmas Eve. As the congregation watched, the weeds turned into brilliant red and green flowers.

There are over 100 poinsettia species along with its cousins that comes in so many colors beside red these days. I thought it would be so much fun to create this ‘Wild Poinsettia’ plant as it is so different but looks so much like the poinsettia itself… of course that’s because they’re part of the same family.

I’m so excited to share my third poinsettia design. Over the past 2 Christmas, I’ve created the Polar Bear and Ice Punch Poinsettia Collection and also the Harlequin Poinsettia.
