Inspired by the shapes and textures of pieced- patchwork quilts, Wild Rye is an airy triangular shawl featuring beautifully graphic slipped-stitch cables in a diamond patterning, that stand proud of a garter stitch background.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The Wild Rye Shawl is knitted sideways and outwards from a central i-cord along which stitches are picked up in order to work each side.
The slipped cable patterning is work using the ‘double-pass’ method, which is fully explained. The fringe edging is created by casting on extra sts before or after picking up sts along the i-cord. These extra sts are worked as a garter stitch border and are unravelled after knitting to reveal the fringing.
