I love wild birds and feed them regularly the whole year round on different places in our garden. I am most happy when I see a bullfinch. The red breast of the male bullfinch is something that catches one’s eye immediately and in most of the times the more decently coloured female isn’t far. It is said that bullfinch couples lead livelong marriages - birds do surprise you sometimes, don’t they?

The motive for my fingerless mittens „Wildbird“ came from my favourite bird - the bullfinch. Due to the different patterns the fingerless mittens are very interesting and a joy to knit.

Das Motiv für meine fingerlosen Handschuhe „Wildbird“ habe ich in Anlehnung an meinen Lieblingsvogel – dem Dompfaffen – entworfen. Durch die verschiedenen Muster sind die fingerlosen Handschuhe sehr interessant zu stricken und daher auch schnell fertig. Die fingerlosen Handschuhe „Wildbird“ eignen sich übrigens hervorragend für Frühlingsspaziergänge und wer weiß, vielleicht seht Ihr ja tatsächlich auch ein paar Dompfaffen.
