In Taika Waititi’s 2016 comedy-adventure film Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Bella is a kind-hearted foster mother and fearless pig hunter played by Rima Te Wiata.

Bella wears a grey cat sweater at the start of the movie and the Wilderpeople costume designer, with the help from a kiwi knitter, is now created a pattern so knitters of the world can create their own version!

You could use the chart on any sweater pattern, of course, and/or substitute the yarns suggested for any DK-weight yarn.

You will need a small amount of DK black, white and pink yarn for the cat pattern.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople is written and directed by Taika Waititi and based on Barry Crump’s novel Wild Pork and Watercress.
