Reminiscent of an aerial view of a flower-covered meadow, Wildflowers is a generously sized triangle shawl knit from the bottom up in an engaging, easily memorized textured stitch pattern. Highly variegated colorways work well here because the textured stitch breaks up and disguises pooling, and the corner pom-poms give the whole piece a whimsical finish.

Yarn: Barker Wool Fern, (85/15% Fine Merino/Nylon, fingering) 100g skeins x3 in the colorway Austin, or approximately 1,200 yards of fingering weight yarn.

Finished Measurements: approximately 78” W x 36” L at center point.

Needles: US size 5 (3.75 mm) Gauge: 26 STS x 16 rows = 4” x 4” in Stockinette ST.

Notions: Tapestry needle, 2.5” (65mm) pom-pom maker, a scale that weighs in grams.
