This simple to knit vest is designed to be loose fitting through the body to the underarm. The piece decrease gradually along the side seams to create an a-line shape. The pockets are knit in as the fronts are made but can be easily eliminated if you desire.
The bodice is knit in ribbing to help bring the top in for a closer fit and to self finish the armholes.
Stitches are then picked up for the collar and the front bands.
I chose to make just 3 buttonholes, but you could make buttonholes along the entire length of the front.
