Men’s wear inspired but softer and lighter, with a nicely feminine fit. The allover texture stitch, reminiscent of the subtle plaids used in classic woolen ‘sporting’ jackets, is a simple knit/purl combination, easily memorized and quickly knit in a worsted weight yarn. The jacket features generously sized welt pockets and an oversized collar knitted up from the scooped neck. The body and pockets are worked in one piece to the underarms, then fronts and back are divided and worked separately to the shoulders. The sleeves are worked in the round to the underarm then the cap is shaped working back and forth in rows and sewn into place.
